After a hard-fought campaign, the Activistenpartij is proud to announce that we have held on to being the largest party in the Central Student Council and continue to be the largest student party represented in UvA’s medezeggenschap.
With a total of 23 seats across all the councils, we are extremely proud of all our candidates and grateful for the faith that UvA students continue to place in us to represent their interests and fight for a decolonial, democratic and decarbonized university. This year, we held on to our position as the largest party in the Central Student Council and the Faculty of Humanities. Moreover, we have a majority for the first time in the Faculty of Social Sciences. In the Faculty of Medicine, where we ran a candidate for the first time, we won two seats, and we strengthened our presence in the Faculty of Law, with three seats in total.
Elected Activistenpartij council members will continue the fight in the next academic year for a university that is fair and accessible to students of diverse backgrounds, for an institution that places people over profits, and for an ethical university that cuts ties from genocide and human rights violations.
