Fighting for a university that truly includes everyone, not just in words but in action.

I’m a third-year Media and Culture student at the UvA, currently in my fourth year at the university. Outside of studying, I work as a presenter and content creator, focusing on books, culture, and activism. I have collaborated with organizations like Oxfam Novib and have been a member of the Activistenpartij for over a year. I care about creating spaces where students from all backgrounds actually feel seen and heard.

After spending four years at the UvA, I’ve seen the ways the university succeeds, but also where it falls short. As a queer person of color with ADHD, I know what it feels like to be excluded from systems that say they are for everyone. That experience made me want to get more actively involved and push for real structural change.

In the Student Council, I want to focus on accessibility, mental health, and making sure student representation is not just symbolic. I believe real representation means actually listening, standing up when it matters, and making space for people who are often left out. I’m ready to bring that energy and commitment into the council.
