Hi, I’m Irmak — a Political Science student with organizing experience in the Workers’ Party and Activistenpartij UvA.
I’m running to reject the corporate, top-down model of our faculty. We’re treated like customers or inmates — managed and ignored. But students are the heart of this university.
Once elected I’ll:
-Demand to cut ties to Israel by creating internal pressure
– Advocate for curriculum reform through a student-led decolonization committee
– Promote participatory budgeting to give students real control over spending
– Submit motions on protesting rights, ending mandatory attendance,and question the board
– Host open assemblies and direct feedback forms to ensure accountability
For a democratic, decolonial, decarbonized university — all power to the students!
