Power to the students!
I am the current vice-chair of ASVA Student Union, which is a student organisation that fights for the rights of students in Amsterdam. I have studied Cultural Anthropology and Development Sociology at UvA, and will be doing the Research Master Social Sciences next year.
I want to ensure that student voices will be heard within the policymaking at UvA, and I believe we should be drastically changing the current system which limits our say in what happens to our education system. I believe decolonisation of our educational system should be high on the priority list, and that the only way to achieve this is to fight for it at all levels of student participation. Lastly, I want to advocate for students studying with a disability to receive adequate support.
