Housing insecurity, inaccessibility, and systemic inaction – students face real problems that demand real solutions.

I am running for student council because I believe that high-quality education must be accessible to all students – regardless of financial background, nationality, or disability status.

Today, barriers outside the classroom, like the housing crisis, threaten students’ well-being and academic success. No one should have to sleep on couches or in tents to attend university, yet this is a reality for many. Those who do find housing often face rents so high they are forced to work unsustainable hours. Housing is not a luxury but a necessity, and I believe the university must take more responsibility in providing stable, affordable accommodation.

Another major barrier is the lack of support for students with chronic illnesses and disabilities. The current facilities are limited and do not meet the wide range of needs. Our university should be a place where everyone can reach their full potential. If elected, I will fight for investments in student well-being, better accessibility, and real solutions to the structural challenges we face. Additionally, I aim to hold the university accountable when it comes to taking the opinions and concerns of students into consideration. Asking us for student feedback through surveys means nothing unless that feedback leads to real, demonstrable change.

Together, we can build a university that supports every student – not just in theory, but in practice.
